In April of 2011 I was diagnosed with PTSD. I was sexually abused between the ages of 12-13. Prior to being strucks with PTSD I led a fairly normal life.  I was 33 years old, married with 2 beautiful daughters ages 12 and 13. When I found out the man that abused me was moving back to the area my world collapsed. Within 2 weeks I was on medication and off work on short term disability.

I hope sharing my struggles will help people living with victims of PTSD understand what it's like to deal with PTSD and to inspire others to keep fighting.  I have changed all names to respect the privacy of my family and friends. PTSD poses different problems and challanges for everyone, this is just my experience and my fight to survive.
